[Michigan, November 11, 2020]: The American Human Rights Council (AHRC-USA) joins the nation in observing Veterans Day in America. Veterans Day, formerly known as Armistice day, is observed on November 11, 2020. This holiday is an occasion to recognize the sacrifices of those who served on behalf of our nation.
Veterans Day, formerly known as Armistice Day, is observed every year on November 11. It is a day to remember the shared and common American values of liberty, justice and freedom for all. It is a day to honor the sacrifices of millions of Americans who have fought for the nation. While Americans today are divided on many issues, they all agree on recognizing the sacrifices of America’s veterans.
“Veterans day is an opportunity to remember the sacrifices of all the men and women who served in America’s military, “said Imad Hamad, AHRC Executive Director. “We owe them a debt of gratitude,” added Hamad. “And the best thing we can do for them is to try to resolve international disputes through dialogue, not through force,” concluded Hamad.
