The American Human Rights Council (AHRC-USA) condemns the recent terrorist attack that killed 15 people while praying, mainly members of the Saudi Emergency Force. A suicide bomber blew himself up in a mosque in Abha city, Saudi Arabia on Thursday, August 6, 2015. The terrorist group, ISIS claimed responsibility vowing more attacks in the Kingdom. ISIS launched several similar attacks targeting different Mosques in Saudi Arabia and most recently in Kuwait. AHRC condemns this act of terror and offers sincere condolences to the victims’ families.
“ISIS is a threat to humanity. They have attacked Sunnis, Shia, Christians and others. Despite the slogans they have raised, they are indeed a threat to humanity. We hope the world exerts more efforts to destroy this international terror threat,” said Imad Hamad, AHRC executive director.
