From April 30-May 3, 2016, Project Healthy Living, in partnership with Tzu Chi Medical Foundation, will be presenting Care Harbor Detroit, Detroit’s largest health fair, at the old Sears building inside Eastland Mall at 18000 Vernier Road, Harper Woods, Michigan. This event will be completely free and open to the public. Free services will include dental care, vision care (including free glasses) and primary and specialty care. In addition, there will be free social services, health and wellness information, and lunch will be provided to all participants. Tzu Chi Medical Foundation and Care Harbor will be hosting 40 dental chairs and 10 vision lanes from Los Angeles, California; and there will be health agencies present from Chicago, Illinois, and Florida, as well as Detroit.

Project Healthy Living is seeking medical and non-medical volunteers to serve the expected 2,500 attendees over the four days, with an estimated 600 attendees from Flint, Michigan.

AHRC strongly supports the value of providing accessible medical care and health and wellness services to all communities and urges all those who are able to donate supplies or volunteer to register with Project Health Living for this most noble cause.
