The American Human Rights Council (AHRC-USA) joins the world’s community in condemning the recent terrorist attacks that targeted Christians in the city of Lahore, Pakistan as they were celebrating the Easter holiday in the city’s Gulshan Iqbal Park causing another sad tragedy of violence and marking another crime against humanity by terrorists.  The Pakistani Taliban terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack.
This suicide attack comes only a few days after a series of horrific attacks in Turkey, Mali, Brussels and Iraq . According to news reports, at least 69 people were killed and one hundred others were injured, mainly women and children. AHRC expresses its condolences to all of the victims’ families for the loss of their loved ones and wishes all the injured a speedy recovery. This attack is another painful reminder that terrorism is blind and recognizes no religion or boundaries and no one is immune. The threat of terrorism requires our unwavering unity facing this common enemy.
