AHRC Wishes All Muslims a Safe and pleasant Eid Al Adha:

The American Human Rights Council (AHRC-USA) extends its best wishes to all Muslims for a safe, pleasant, and blessed Eid Al Adha. The Eid will be observed and celebrated on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.

Eid Al Adha is the second major Muslim holiday according to the Muslim lunar calendar. It marks the end of the Hajj (pilgrimage) to Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Eid Al Adha is a celebration of Abraham’s obedience to God when asked to sacrifice his first- born son, Ismail. Two billion Muslims around the world will be celebrating this occasion.

Eid is a time for caring, giving, sharing and family bonding and family gatherings. AHRC reminds all celebrating the Eid to be mindful of those less fortunate and to provide kind aid. Eid spurs all Muslims to give generously in America and around the world.

AHRC commends all law enforcement at all levels for providing for the safety and security of all worshippers that will be visiting mosques and Islamic centers in Michigan and across the nation to celebrate the Eid.

“Eid Al Adha is a celebration of sacrifice, of giving to the less fortunate among us,” said Imad Hamad, AHRC Executive Director.

“We wish all our Muslim friends and supporters a joyful and blessed Eid,” said Dr. Saleh Muslah, AHRC Board President.
