The American Human Rights Council (AHRC-USA) joins Americans across the United States in observing National Social Work Month, a time set aside to honor and thank social workers for their service in our communities. This year’s theme is “Forging Solutions Out of Challenges.” As we continue to move forward in our work to preserve and advance human rights for all, it is important that we recognize the integral role of social workers in helping our children, keeping our families together, protecting the quality of life of our elders and advocating for changes in law and policy.
“Social workers are the glue to our work in advancing and protecting human rights. We thank each of them for their noble service to all citizens,” said AHRC Executive Director Imad Hamad.
