On Saturday August 29, 2015, AHRC joined the Greater Southern Baptist Church’s annual “Community Day” at Littlefield Playfield by Noble School on Detroit’s Westside where a coalition of local block clubs unveiled a new sunflower sculpture in the park. On Sunday August 30, 2015, AHRC volunteers joined State Representative Rose Mary C. Robinson at a back to school peace rally hosted by the Northend Neighbors at Metropolitan United Methodist Church. AHRC supplied school uniforms for local students from Detroit’s Northend. Attorney Isaac Robinson and Elisa Grubbs, representing the American Human Right Council, participated in two community building events in Detroit.
