The American Human Rights Council (AHRC-USA) joins the world’s community in welcoming the US-Iran agreement that has ended years of hostility between the two countries.
AHRC considers the triumph of diplomacy in bringing an end to decades of hostilities a win for all humanity. As a human rights organization, we believe that diplomacy, mutual respect and communication can bridge gaps between parties. War should never be the answer to differences.
AHRC congratulates the American and Iranian peoples on this milestone of progress in the relations between the two nations. AHRC believes that the Middle East should be free of weapons of mass destruction and that international law should apply to all countries in the region, not just the Islamic Republic of Iran.
“We salute the Obama administration for choosing negotiation with mutual respect as the route to ending years of animosity with the Islamic Republic of Iran”said Imad Hamad, AHRC Executive Director.”
