[Michigan, May 6, 2024]:
The American Human Rights Council’s (AHRC-USA) annual “Spirit of humanity” Awards & Dinner Gala will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. in Dearborn. This year’s theme is “Human Rights: Today More than Ever Before.”
In the tapestry of humanity, each thread represents a right—a right to dignity, freedom, and justice. This event serves as an opportunity to recognize and honor leaders and organizations who have made significant contributions to advancing human rights and serving humanity.
Human Rights are not Mere Words on Paper; they are the heart of what it means to be human. Last year’s Gala was cancelled due to the war in Gaza. The ongoing genocidal war against Gaza continues to be a tremendous challenge before the human rights community and to all peace-loving people at home and across the world. Despite the unexpected cancellation, friends, partners, and supporters’ graciosity understood the situation and expressed solidarity and support.
This year we decided that we should not allow the unprecedented inhumane crisis to control our schedule. Despite the ongoing tragic war, we are moving forward with our annual Gala this year and dedicate it to all the champions of human rights advocating for global justice and global peace, especially Gaza.
As with every year, we anticipate a diverse gathering of guests to celebrate our shared values and our shared aspirations embracing human rights, human respect, and human dignity despite all the challenges.
To champion human rights is to join the global campaign for human rights. It is not an easy challenge. We are hopeful of the support of our friends.
Early sponsorship is recommended and will be appreciated. Early commitment enables AHRC to better plan and better arrange for the Gala. No amount is too small to help.
Every donation is significant. Please visit AHRC Website at (www.ahrcusa.org) to process your in-kind donation or email us at info@ahrcusa.org for further information.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated support and participation this year.
