In an effort to maintain the momentum after the Women’s March in Washington D.C., the Postcards and Pints initiative has been spreading across the country. The next stop is Dearborn. Through these events volunteers (women and men are welcome) complete and send postcards to senators and representatives stating what is important to them as constituents, and bring awareness to issues like immigration, voting rights other reforms that their elected officials should be fighting for.

The next event takes place March 2 at Bailey’s on Michigan Ave. in Dearborn from 6:30-9:00p.m. Representatives from a number of community organizations are involved and will help guide discussions about the issue. Postcards will be provided, some blank and others with pre-printed concerns, and attendees are asked to bring stamps to contribute.
