Every human being has human rights. Everyone means everyone. That is the core foundation of human rights. Human rights cannot be optional, selective nor be hostage to political agendas.
Human rights are about our core existence as human beings.
Unfortunately, human rights are being compromised, marginalized, and defined through double standards and hypocrisy.
Ongoing wars and conflicts are costing so many innocent lives. The most precious human right is the right to life, and we see Israeli violence taking the lives of thousands of innocent Palestinians. Where is the respect for human rights? Human rights should not be sacrificed for political expediency.
The recent wars in Ukraine and the Israeli genocidal war against Gaza highlight clearly the sharp and deep contradictions in the West. Two wars with two different standards and two different set values. We in the human rights community denounce the double standards on Palestine and on Ukraine.
Human rights advocacy is advocacy of human rights. All human beings are entitled to human rights regardless of their background.
AHRC appeals to all people of goodwill, all believers in humanity, to join hands to help promote the human rights of everyone.
You have seen what our politicians have said about Gaza. You have seen and heard the outrageously biased mainstream media narrative. Help us stay raising our voice for true human rights advocacy in the face of a biased media and biased politicians.
