AHRC’s Kayla Mueller “Spirit of Humanity” Award will be presented to Ms. Miakoda Wolin-Collins of Tampa, Florida. Nurse Wolin-Collins is a certified Pediatric Nurse (RN, CPN) currently pursuing her Master’s Degree. Nurse Wolin-Collins has participated in medical missions to the Middle East. Most recently she traveled to different areas of the Holy Land and to Amman Jordan. She also serves as the Patient Affairs Coordinator of the newly established Tampa Bay chapter of the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.
Kayla Mueller, an American humanitarian aid worker from Prescott, Arizona, was killed by the IS “Islamic State” while volunteering to help Syrian refugees displaced due to the civil war. Kayla is a role model in her dedication to serving humanity. She represents America at is best, working tirelessly to alleviate the suffering of people in need. The American Human Rights Council (AHRC-USA) is committed to honoring Kayla’s life, sacrifices, and legacy by recognizing fellow humanitarians working hard to promote, protect, and advance human rights with an award bearing her name.
