[Michigan, October 14, 2026]

The 2026 Midterm Election will take place on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Michigan voters will elect their next governor, secretary of state, and attorney general; all 110 state House representatives and 38 state senators; all 13 U.S. House representatives; and a U.S. senator to succeed retiring Senator Gary Peters. Michigan Supreme Court seats, local offices, and ballot proposals may also be on the ballot, depending on where voters live.

At a time of deep divisions and growing challenges, this election is critical to the future of our communities, our state, and our nation. The choices we make will shape our rights, freedoms, public policies, and opportunities for generations to come.

Your Vote Matters. Do Not Miss This Opportunity.
Voting is more than a civic duty; it is an opportunity to make your voice heard, influence public decisions, and hold elected officials accountable. Human rights, representation, and responsible leadership matter. Every eligible voter deserves a voice in decisions that affect their future.

No Fear. No Intimidation. Every Vote Counts.
Every eligible voter should be able to participate freely and safely. Protecting the right to vote without fear or intimidation is essential to a healthy democracy and a society that respects human rights.

Vote Early. Make Your Plan Now.
Michigan voters can vote by absentee ballot, through early in-person voting, or on Election Day. Check your registration, learn about the candidates and ballot issues, and make a plan to vote.

Important Election Dates:
·October 19, 2026: Last day to register online or by mail.
· October 20–November 3, 2026: In-person voter registration at your local clerk’s office with proof of residency.
· October 24–November 1, 2026: Statewide early in-person voting period.
·Tuesday, November 3, 2026: Election Day.

Do Not Stop at Casting Your Own Vote. Get Others to Vote.
Encourage family members, friends, neighbors, and fellow community members to register, become informed, and vote. Share reliable election information and help others understand their voting options.

We cannot afford to take our democracy for granted. It is strongest when people participate, make informed choices, and hold elected officials accountable. Do not let others make decisions for you simply because you chose not to participate.
Vote Your Conscience. Vote Based on Values and Principles.

In a diverse society, voting should be guided by a candidate’s values, morals, character, qualifications, record, and positions on issues that affect our communities and nation—not by their name, race, ethnicity, national origin, or faith. Look beyond identity and consider what candidates stand for, what they have done, and how their positions align with your principles and the public interest.

Voting is both a right and a responsibility. Make informed choices, vote according to your conscience and values, and encourage others to participate. Together, we can help build a more informed, engaged, and inclusive community.
