[Michigan, July 10, 2024]
The American Human Rights Council (AHRC-USA) urges all eligible and registered voters to vote in the primary elections this August 6 or earlier as the law allows. Ballots are ready for absentee voting and early voting options are available from now to August 6th, the actual day of election.
All elections are important. We are choosing people who will be running the government at all levels. We are all affected. Not participating in the process does not shield anyone from the results of the elections.
It is often said that democracy is not a spectator sport and the most critical position in a democracy is that of a voter. Each of us can make a difference. Voting smart is how to render the much-needed changes and help elect the right people to run the local, state, and national governments. Elections have consequences.
AHRC urges all citizens who are not registered to vote to register. Voters can vote absentee now via US Mail or at the polls. Early voting begins July 27th and the last day to vote is primary Election Day, August 6th.
