[Michigan, November 2, 2026]

The choice is yours. The time is now. Democracy belongs to those who participate. Vote with conscience, vote with conviction, and vote for the future you wish to see.

The American Human Rights Council (AHRC-USA) urges all eligible voters to make their voices heard in this historic election. Every vote matters, and every vote has the power to influence the future of our communities, our state, and our nation.

As Michigan remains at the center of national attention, voters are witnessing one of the most closely watched elections in the country. The significance of this moment extends beyond individual candidates and campaigns. It is a reminder that democracy depends on the active participation of informed and engaged citizens.

AHRC is concerned by efforts to inject fear, prejudice, misinformation, and personal attacks into the electoral process. Attempts to judge candidates based on their name, faith, ethnicity, or background weaken democratic discourse and distract from the issues that matter most to voters.

Elections should be decided on qualifications, integrity, vision, public service, and positions on the issues that affect people’s daily lives. Voters deserve truthful information that enables them to make informed decisions and cast their ballots free from intimidation, manipulation, or division.

AHRC reaffirms its longstanding belief that democracy is strongest when participation is broad, informed, and free. The ballot box remains one of the most powerful tools available to citizens for shaping public policy, protecting rights, and holding elected officials accountable.

As Election Day approaches, we encourage every voter to rise above political noise and focus on the future of their families, communities, and country. Reject fear. Reject prejudice. Reject misinformation. Choose participation, responsibility, and civic engagement.

Talk to your family members, friends, neighbors, and colleagues. Encourage them to vote and to make their voices heard. History has repeatedly shown that engaged citizens can shape outcomes and strengthen democracy.

The American Human Rights Council (AHRC) is dedicated to defending and protecting human rights as outlined in the U.S. Constitution and the United Nations 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). The AHRC was formed to protect these rights and advocate for anyone whose rights are being violated or denied. To that end, the AHRC will build a tenacious, objective, and carefully guided advocacy program that will serve to defend individual human rights, whenever and wherever they are being infringed upon.
