The American Human Rights Council (AHRC-USA) strongly condemns the recent terrorist attacks in Brussels, Belgium. Like similar recent attacks in Turkey, Tunisia and Mali, these attacks are crimes against humanity. These terrorist attacks constitute a painful reminder that terrorism is a global threat and no nation is immune from this danger. The vile attacks are a painful reminder that terrorism is our common enemy and requires transparent, effective and collective efforts to defeat it. Terrorism is one of the leading threats to world security today and requires the cooperation of all the nations in the world to end it.
AHRC extends its condolences to the victims’ families and wishes all the injured a speedy recovery. AHRC stresses on the importance of unity against this wave of terror.
“The right to life is the most basic human right. It is a right that is held sacred in religion and considered a fundamental right in international law. The crimes of terrorism that we saw in Belgium and all other places shock the conscience of the world,” said Imad Hamad, AHRC Executive Director.”
