[Michigan, February 14, 2023]:

The American Human Rights Council (AHRC-USA) joins all Americans in condemning the mass shooting that took place at Michigan State University. AHRC offers its sincere condolences to the parents of the students and to Michigan State University and wishes all the injured a speedy recovery.

This tragic act is added to the long list of mass violence that we have experienced in this country. We continue to call for sensible gun legislation and societal elevated safety awareness. The safety and the security of our universities, neighborhoods, towns, cities, and society at large is not a law-enforcement responsibly only. It is a collective and joint responsibility that requires advancing the partnerships facing such common challenge.

AHRC commends all law enforcement for their prompt response to prevent a bigger tragedy.

“We offer our sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wish the injured a speedy recovery,” said Imad Hamad. “Let’s take this senseless attack as an opportunity to continue to advance the conversation regarding how to better protect ourselves from similar mass violence,” added Hamad.
