Madam First Lady,

The world has declared Gaza a site of mass starvation and famine—an urgent humanitarian crisis. People of conscience should help end this human catastrophe.

Israel and the United States stand alone in refusing to acknowledge this reality, choosing denial over responsibility. For Israel, the declaration is merely a diplomatic inconvenience. For the rest of humanity, it is a moral reckoning.

Your previous appeal to President Putin on behalf of Ukraine’s children was a courageous act of compassion. Saving lives is the highest form of human decency. Today, the First Lady of Turkey has called upon you to extend that same compassion to the children of Gaza. Their suffering is no less real. Human life is universally sacred—regardless of geography, race, or religion.

We appeal to you, Mrs. Trump, to help end this tragedy. The war in Ukraine must end. The war in Gaza—and the starvation—must end. These are not separate crises. They are reflections of the same human suffering, differing only in name and circumstance.

Since the famine declaration, Israel has escalated its military campaign, targeting civilians in Gaza and the West Bank. Despite global appeals to halt the violence, the killing continues. Over 62,000 lives have been lost. President Trump promised to bring peace to the world but has not intervened to stop this carnage. Instead, our country continues to offer unconditional political, diplomatic, and military support to Israel. Many Israelis are against the carnage in Gaza and want the war to end.

Just yesterday, more than twenty people were killed—including hospital patients, rescue workers, and five journalists. These are war crimes. And like so many before them, they will go unpunished. Since October 7, 2023, 242 journalists have been deliberately killed in Gaza. This impunity exists only because of unconditional American support.

Gaza’s catastrophe is a test of global conscience. It is the most pressing human rights crisis in the world today. Starvation should not be allowed to continue as a policy.

We ask you, Mrs. Trump, to consider this appeal. You have been active in advocating for children. Palestinian children need your voice. You can help alleviate suffering and save lives.
Please help the children of Gaza. Let your voice be one of compassion. Let your influence be a force for life.
