[Michigan, July 15, 2025]

The American Human Rights Council (AHRC) stands with peace-loving individuals worldwide and the family of Sayfollah “Saif” Musallet in demanding an immediate, impartial, and transparent investigation—led jointly by the United States and the United Nations—into the brutal killing of Musallet, a 20-year-old Palestinian American citizen from Florida.

On July 11, 2025, Musallet was lynched and beaten to death alongside another Palestinian teenager and denied medical aid by extremist, illegal, and terrorist Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank. Those responsible must be held fully accountable.

“This is an unimaginable nightmare and injustice that no family should ever have to face,” the Musallet family stated in a written release.

Saif Musallet is the fifth Palestinian American killed by Israeli forces or settlers since October 7, 2023. The others include:
• Tawfic Abdul-Jabbar, 17 — January 19, 2024
• Mohammad Alkhdour, 17 — February 10, 2024
• Aysenur Eygi, 26 — September 6, 2024
• Amer Rabee, 14 — April 6, 2025

Despite repeated assurances from the U.S. State Department that the safety of American citizens abroad is a top priority, none of these deaths have been investigated, and no one has been held accountable. This silence and lack of serious action is especially glaring when the victims are of Palestinian descent and the perpetrators are members of the Israeli military or extremist settler groups.

AHRC affirms that America is judged by its fidelity to its values and promises. The lives of Palestinian Americans must not be subject to political convenience, hypocrisy, or selective treatment. Human life is sacred—equally precious, regardless of faith, ethnicity, or nationality. Palestinian lives matter as much as all other human lives.

The ongoing, livestreamed devastation in Gaza and the West Bank—marked by mass killings, starvation, extermination, and displacement—continues to underscore the dehumanization of Palestinian lives. With the death toll surpassing 58,000, the Israeli military’s relentless campaign has targeted civilians, including infants and children.
