[Michigan, October 29, 2026]

The American Human Rights Council (AHRC-USA) urges all eligible, registered voters to make their voices heard and exercise their right to vote. With only five days remaining until Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, 2026, the time to act is now. Vote early where available or make a plan to vote on Election Day.

In a living democracy, voting is not only a fundamental right; it is a civic responsibility. This election is critically important, with outcomes that will shape our shared future and affect our daily lives at the local, state, and national levels.

AHRC is deeply concerned about the escalating use of hateful rhetoric, fearmongering, intimidation, deliberate misrepresentation of facts, and misleading campaign tactics. Efforts to inflame racial tensions, exploit religious identity, and prioritize race or faith over the pressing issues affecting people’s lives undermine informed public debate and threaten the integrity of our democratic process. Such tactics divide communities and mislead voters rather than help them make informed decisions.

Our elections must be decided by facts, policies, integrity, and qualifications—not by fear, hate, or intimidation.

Voting responsibly means making informed choices based on candidates’ positions, records, values, and proposed solutions to the issues that matter most to our communities. Healthcare, education, economic security, public safety, equal opportunity, and the protection of our rights and freedoms deserve serious consideration. A candidate’s name, race, religion, gender, or national origin should never overshadow the substance of their positions, qualifications, and commitment to serving the public.

Every eligible voter has an opportunity and a responsibility to participate. Sitting out an election will not bring about the changes our communities need. Meaningful change begins when people make their voices heard, hold elected officials accountable, and help shape their future.

AHRC calls on candidates, campaigns, political organizations, and their supporters to reject hateful rhetoric, fear-based manipulation, and intimidation. Compete on ideas, policies, qualifications, and solutions. Respect every voter’s right to make an independent choice, free from pressure, threats, or discrimination.

No hate. No fear. No intimidation. Every vote matters.
AHRC urges every eligible, registered voter who has not yet voted to seize this opportunity. Vote today, vote early where available, or vote on Tuesday, November 3. Encourage family, friends, and neighbors to do the same.

Vote Smart. Vote Your Conscience. Make Your Voice Heard. Get Others to Vote!
